MLS Week in Review

The Houston Dynamo won big and increased their lead in the conference but the need to keep one eye over their shoulder as the LA Galaxy are making a move. The Columbus Crew won big as well against the Quakes and have a one game lead over their closest competitors in the conference.

In a game that was played by two divisional powerhouses the Dynamo nearly gave up the game to the Fire but were able to hold on with a late penalty to win 3-2. The Crew were able to extend their lead in the Eastern Conference after defeating the Earthquakes of San Jose on Saturday.

The Galaxy are rising fast moving into second place in the Western Conference. They have won five of six games and defeated the always tough New England Revolution 2-1. Finally, the Rapids moved on up the standings to third place defeating Chivas USA 4-0. Seattle fell backwards after losing to Real Salt Lake. Dallas was able to defeat inter state rival Houston 1-0.
